Mother's Day Weekend we will be kicking off our new Weekend Brunch. Please join us for the best Corned Beef Hash you'll ever get (our corned beef is braised in Chuckanut beer, just like our Rueben),  Shakshuka (Baked Egg) Pizza and Yam Chilequiles (yam huevos)! Of course we'll have the classic brewers breakfast, breakfast sammy and our banana bread pudding (like french toast) for the sweet tooth in the morning. It all starts early at 9:30 am in case you want to go for a hike after and burn off the calories. And for those who want our regular menu it still starts at 11 am. But make sure to get in before 2:30 pm when we stop brunch! Did I mention we'll have mimosas and a few beer cocktails?


Yes that's right, we won 2 Gold Medals at the World Beer Cup 2018 in Nashville, TN on May 4! It was a thrilling night when they announced that Chuckanut Pilsner won Gold in the Bohemian Pilsner category and then again Chuckanut Kolsch Style won Gold in the German Kolsch category! Both beers are no strangers to awards, Kolsch has a Silver Medal from the World Beer Cup in 2012 and numerous Gold and Silver awards from the GABF. Pilsner has also been a big winner at the GABF in the past but that was in the German Pilsner category. We recently mixed up our hops in the Pilsner and it has morphed into the Bohemian category due to the larger use of Saaz hops (Czech grown). Both Kolsch and Pilsner are brewed year round, good thing cuz they are so delicious!

With the warmer weather we are thinking of Mexico, for beer (Mexican Style Lager) and our Posole! Yay, it's back and better than ever. The red pork pozole has guajillo & ancho chile broth, tender pork, hominy, spices and finished with Terra Verde Farm local radishes! The May Pizza is a Sweet & Sour Duck Pizza. It's made with 5 spice free range duck leg confit, Mariposa Farm spring onion, sweet & sour sauce and a house made togarashi! Don't forget to ask about our latest Creme Brulee it's always a sweet finish to your meal!


May is Seattle Beer Week and we will be joining the fun! First up is What the Helles Fest at Altstadt in Pioneer Square on May 10 where they will be serving up some of the best Helles lagers around (including yours truly). That's followed by the ever popular Barleywood Squares at Naked City from 12-3 on May 12. As part of the Brewshed Alliance we will be served at the Watershed fundraiser for Wild WA all day on May 12 also. May 14 is one of our favorite festivals, Women in Beer at Pike Brewing down at the Pike Market. On May 15 we'll be pouring at the Randall Fest (yes, we will be pouring Chuckanut through a Randall) at the Pine Box and we'll also be celebrating at Prost Phinney Ridge where they are pitting Chuckanut Kolsch against the German Reissdorf Kolsch. Help us win the challenge by drinking Chuckanut Kolsch at all the Prost bars. You'll have another chance to play Giant Jenga at the Prost West Seattle from 7-9 pm on May 16 but before that stop into Ounces in West Seattle and visit at the Bellingham Brewers Tap Takeover 5-8 pm the same night. May 19 we'll be pouring at Reubens & Friends beer fest from 12-5 pm, as well as the Rhein Haus Pig & Pint on Capital Hill 4-8 pm. Chase that up with another game night at Fierebende in South Lake Union (a Prost restaurant) 7-9 pm. And close Beer Week at the Bierstub in Ravenna to see who won the Kolsch challenge! Our Cinco de Mayo inspired Mexican Style Lager is on tap now and throughout the summer. Dreaming of hot spring and summer days (cross your fingers) this refreshing blonde lager is light and easy to drink. We serve it with a lime if you want an extra touch of fruitiness! Maibock is the other end of the beer spectrum with it's high ABV, deep blonde color and richness. We only make this beer once in a year so get it while you can, it's bottled and easy to take home or give as a gift to your beer loving mama on Mothers Day. Gerste Lager will be coming on in May too. This is an historic lager that was over 53% of Heineken's output in 1911. We made it for the historic lager fest at Urban Chestnut in St Louis. Light brown in color and only 3.9% ABV it's a sessionable lager with a mild malty flavor.
