Chuckanut Brewery has been awarded 6 medals from the North American Beer Awards 2019. Export Dortmunder Lager, Asian Style Lager and Alt Bier all won golds while Mexican Style Lager, Maibock and Rye Lager won silver medals! Dortmunder is a burnished honey gold with a firm maltiness, medium-body, slightly sweet palate and a clean, dry finish. Chuckanut Asian Style Lager is brewed in collaboration with the Din Tai Fung Restaurants in WA and OR. True to Asian style beers this lager is made with rice flakes for a light body, straw color, crisp and refreshing balanced lager. This is the second gold medal for Alt Bier at NABA. This traditional old style German ale is malty with a snappy, hoppy finish and deep bronze color, great with bratwurst! Silver medal winning Mexican Style Lager is described as "sunshine in a glass". Bright gold and using wheat malt from Skagit Valley makes this beer fresh and local as well as refreshing and sessionable. Maibock is the May Bock beer famous in Germany. Dark stone fruit flavors, rich in body but light in color with moderate bitterness balancing out a sweet malt bill is easy to drink due to a lengthy lagering period of over 3 months. Rye Lager has won it’s first silver medal.This beautiful spicy amber lager has lots of spicy flavors due to the generous portions of rye malt and spalt hops. Enjoy all of Chuckanut’s beers, prost!


It's cruising time and Chuckanut has two in the month of June. Join San Juan Cruises for one of their evening motor around Bellingham Bay with Chuckanut Brewery Wednesday, June 5 at 6:30 pm. Buy tickets in advance with San Juan for an enjoyable happy hour on board the boat. For a complete Chuckanut Beer Dinner join us on the Schooner Zodiac June 20 at 5:45 pm. The Schooner Zodiac is a double masted schooner and if you are interested you can even help raise the sails on our cruise on the bay! But once we start sailing sit back and relax with a galley dinner and 4 Chuckanut beers. Seattle Times wrote a fun article about their 2017 experience with a Chuckanut beer dinner on board.

Time to bring out the shorts and swimsuits and eat some good healthy food to keep your body going. Have you tried any of our Seasonal Salads? This season we have an arugala, strawberries, goat cheese and slivered almond salad with balsamic dressing on the menu. Our soup is full of garden fresh spring peas and asparagus this month. Don't forget to always check out our Specials menu with its delicious seafood specials and desserts! Our Kitchen hours have changed up for the season. We are open til 9:30 pm Sun-Thurs nights and 10 pm Fri-Sat. And the summer Weekend Brunch continues til the end of August. Stop in 10 am-1 pm to try our brunch menu!


Festival Season has begun! Make sure to get over to Brewers by the Bay Fest June 8 from 6-10 pm. This fundraising festival was held in July on a Sunday afternoon in the past but they decided to mix it up and run it on a Saturday evening in June. We'll be there with  our award winning Chuckanut beers! Latona Pub in Seattle will be hosting Chuckanut for a beer dinner to introduce the new Latona pubs summer beer that Chuckanut has made. It's a Mediterranean Style Pilsner made with malts grown in Italy and hops from Slovenia. Will Kemper, brewmaster will talk about the beers and afterwards there will be a Brewers Night in the Pub to celebrate the new summer beer.
