Chuckanut Brewery has done it again! Fest Bier has won a Bronze medal at the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) 2019. Chuckanut's golden, balanced, malty lager won the bronze in the Fest Beer/Dortmunder category at the world's biggest craft beer competition held in Denver, CO. Fest Bier is brewed for the Oktoberfest season and is now available at limited accounts around the Sound and in OR as the season ends. You can also find bottles of Fest Bier at both of Chuckanut's locations. If you haven't had an opportunity yet to try this award winning beer get in soon cuz it won't be around much longer!


As the weather cools we lean towards darker beers to warm us up and Chuckanut has got them in October.  Rauch Marzen Lager is the smokey, deep amber lager that hits the spot. Bock will be released just in time for Halloween, it's the first in our Big Bier Series. Rich, deep in color and aged 3 months in our fermentation tanks this beer is served in a special glass and bottled for home consumption. Single Hop Lager with Hallertau Blanc, a new age German hop used in our basic lager recipe imparts hints of gooseberry, pineapple and white wine grapes. Citra Leaf Pilsner is out and almost gone!! A real popular pilsner made with the new citra leaf pellets from Yakima Chief. If you're lucky you might be able to score some Kaffee Dunkel Lager. Our medal winning Dunkel recipe blended with Ethopian coffee beans makes this lager very special. Brewed for Bailey's in Portland, OR we'll have it on tap at both of our locations in October.

It's time to cozy up to some rich eatin!! We've got Roasted Potato Poutine to fill that bill. It's topped with Beechers cheese curds for a more local take on a Canadian classic! Our soup of the month is Autumn Squash filled with veggies, ancient grains and more. The Roasted Squash salad uses local winter squash with apples & cranberries and a house made special dressing. If you loved our Smoked Salmon melt we had on the September Eat Local Menu you're in luck because it has now been added to our regular menu!


Make sure to get out to some of our events in October!  At our South Nut location we have a fun way to spend some time painting an item under the instruction of artist Elizabeth Sarah and drinking Chuckanut beer October 14. October 18 Brewology at the Science Center allows you time to drink beer and check out the latest at this popular science learning space at the Seattle Center. If you've never made it to La Conner for Brew on the Slough this year it happens October 19, always a fun intimate festival. Chuckanut is now available in the Vancouver, WA area and to celebrate we'll have a brewers night at Grapes & Growlers. Stop in to say hi and enjoy some award winning Chuckanut Beers October 24.
