BIG CHANGES FOR CHUCKANUT BREWERY

Not sure if you heard but there are big changes in the air for Chuckanut Brewery. Our South Nut location is getting ready to double in size in anticipation of moving into more bottling and canning and growing. We'll be moving our North Nut 10 bbl system into the expansion so that all our brewing production will take place under one roof. This will make us much more efficient and get more beer out to those that are excited to get it! At the same time our building in Bellingham was sold and we need to move out before the end of the year. The last day our pub will be open is October 17. We'll continue to keep our South Nut Tap Room open serving beer and beverages. Did you know our neighbors at Skagit Landing will deliver hot food to visitors of the Tap Room when orders are called in every day but Monday (they are closed)? Have you tried their food yet? They have great scratch made sandwiches, salads and hot plates at reasonable prices. We'll have Brando's BBQ truck on site this fall Saturday-Sundays, too. We also will be opening P Nut Chuckanut Beer Hall down in Portland, OR. We hope to have P Nut open in November, watch our social media and website for opening updates. Please come to say goodby to where it all started in Bellingham before we close. Once these two big projects are complete there's always the possibility we will resurface somewhere else in Bellingham but at this point we will have our hands full getting P Nut open and more than doubling our S Nut location!

NEW BEERS FOR OCTOBER

October is a great time for Chuckanut beers. You will see our Dunkel Lager, Kaffee Dunkel Lager and Rye Lager resurface again. Fest Bier and Old Fest are both available til gone and do not return again until September 2022. We'll also have our Rhinebier (a take off on our Kolsch but with more body due to Spelt malts that are used) and Yellow Card Ale (mellow yellow pale ale/golden ale style beer) on tap around the sound and in Oregon. If you go to Din Tai Fung remember to ask for Chuckanut's and Din Tai Fung's Asian Style Lager a perfect match with their dumplings and noodles found around Seattle and down in Portland. As we move further into the fall watch for other beers Chuckanut will add to the market. Exciting news: we hope to get back to making some bottles and cans both only available in very small quantities around the Sound and at our South Nut and P Nut when it's open!

LAST CHANCE FOR FOOD AT NORTH NUT

We will be closing North Nut by the middle of October so now's your chance to come in and enjoy our kitchen's delicious foods. The kitchen serves food Wednesday through Sunday every week. On Monday and Tuesday we have "support our neighbors" days. We have print outs of our neighbors Hanna Teriyaki and  Waterfront Tavern menus. Just sit down with a beer, call them to order your food and when ready we'll watch your table while you go over to get it (both just half a block away). It's nice to support not only our brewery but our neighboring restaurants!

CHUCKANUT KOLSCH WINS GOLD AT GABF

Chuckanut's Kolsch Style German Ale has brought home a Gold medal from the GABF (Great American Beer Festival) for the fourth time. It's a great rendition of a true classical Kolsch style beer from Cologne and those that have visited Cologne can testify to its authenticity in flavor and style! It's always a thrill to find that our beers are appreciated and awarded for their craft and our hard work in making them the best possible drinking beers we can brew!
