CHUCKANUT WINS LARGE BREWERY 2021 AT WABA

Chuckanut Brewery has been awarded Large Brewery of the Year 2021 at the WA Beer Awards! This photo was taken after the last WABA, that was 2019. Last year there was no competition due to Covid but this year it's back and we won! With four Gold medals (Rauch Helles Lager, Old Fest, Asian Style Lager and Rye Lager) and three Silver medals (Dunkel Lager, Chuck Light and Maibock) Chuckanut took Large Brewery of the year. Lucky for all of us, some of these great beers are on tap around the Sound and Portland as well at our South Nut Tap Room. Stop in to taste why they were awarded these best of the style awards, we'll see you soon!

NEW BEERS FOR NOVEMBER

November is here and the wet, cold weather has officially arrived. That's why we'll be releasing some of our favorite dark beers. Schwarz Lager is coming, that's the black lager we love! Notes of espresso and bitter chocolate delight on a frame of medium body and surprisingly dry finish. The black malt flavors linger at the end calling you to take another sip! Just as dark but with a whole different flavor is the Export Stout. We haven't make this kind of stout in a while. Export Stout is made with a higher ABV (in this case 8%).and a real roasty flavor.Typically the higher ABV was incorporated so the beer would make the journey abroad in better shape. Flavors of milk chocolate for an Export Stout are different from the espresso of Schwarz. A creamy mouthfeel and fuller body make this a great winter beer!

P NUT CHUCKANUT BEER HALL COMING TO PORTLAND

We are thrilled to announce we hope to have our P Nut in Portland, OR open in December! We are finishing up with receiving all our permits and have begun remodeling the office space that will become the Chuckanut Beer Hall! P Nut will seat about 78 inside and another 45 or so outside. Situated in the SE Division neighborhood of Portland where our friends at Beer Monger, Apex and Baerlic Brewing are nearby. For convenience we are close to the Portland Max light rail station too! No kitchen but we'll try to get some food trucks to stop in or you can bring your own food and enjoy a menu of 10 Chuckanut beers, a cider, sodas for the kids and lots of snacks. Watch our social media for updates!
