The Skagit Tulip Festival has begun and we are ready for spring! We've made our Skagit Tulip Ale using Skagit Valley Malt and mittelfrueh hops plus dry hopped with Idaho #7 a new world hop. Skagit Tulip Ale is a CA Common, or "steam beer" brewed with lager yeast, but aged at higher temps like an ale. This beer is citrusy with a touch of sweetness and a bright woody nose plus a classic Chuckanut dry finish due to the Triticale malts that are used. April will see the return of our New World Hop Ale, bright and dry with lots of hops presence this is a great beer for mowing the lawn! Mid April we'll also see Chuckanut Mexican Style Lager ready to be tapped just in time for Cinco de Mayo! Classic in style and easy to drink, bringing images of the sea and sand with every sip! |

News from P. Nut Beer Hall is everyone is loving the new arrangement of the beer garden area. Lots of picnic tables, some in the sun others in shade make it a perfect spot to sit and sip. Special beers on tap this month include the Breakside collaboration made before Covid and aged until just recently. "Considerations" started as a Maibock, became an Eisbock then was aged with wine grape juice in wooden barrels. Full strength (11%ABV) but drinks smooth, very dangerous and incredibly delicious. Two other collaborations with Portland breweries are in the works, one with Steeplejack and the other with Von Eberts. As soon as they're available we'll get some to share with you! We hope to get it for South Nut and we are hoping to tap both of them at our May Day Festival on May 1! |

EVENTS FOR APRIL-MAYIf you knit or crochet you might love our Knit n Sip at P. Nut the first Saturday of every month from 1-3pm. There's no charge to sit with a fun group while working on your project and sipping on Chuckanut beers as you visit with like minded friends! All ages welcome. If you want to paint our Paint and Sip at South Nut April 20 has an all inclusive price including paints, canvas, brushes, instructions and Beer! Simply Creative is where you sign up. Our big festival coming up is the May Day Celebration on May 1 at both P. Nut and South Nut. Morris Dancers, Maibock tapping, surprise tappings, garden games and more happens all day! And starting May 1 closing will be 1 hour later as the sun sets late in the day! |
