Tasting Notes

Golden, crisp, complex malt, balanced

Description

In the early days, the beer consumed during Oktoberfest was the rich, copper-colored lager known as Marzen. But in recent years, the official Oktoberfest lager has morphed into a lighter, golden lager with a moderate malty sweetness and a clean, balancing bitterness. Chuckanut Fest bier emphasizes the use of Vienna malts for a smooth, quaffable fest beer you can drink over and over again toasting multiple times. Prost!

Food Pairing

Fest bier is a perfect match for the traditional foods served at Oktoberfest: grilled chicken, roasted pork, and Steckerlfisch (grilled fish-on-a-stick). The subtle sweetness of Fest Bier makes it a perfect match with grilled salmon too.
